Dogs Love Games!

Playing games with your dog is a great way to keep them active, busy, and out of mischief.  The best thing about it is that it is a lot of fun for both you and your dog alike.  Are you unsure of what kind of games to play with your pup?  Don’t worry about a thing…. we have you covered!  Please see below for a list of some of our favorite games to play with dogs.

  1. Tug of War – This is fun, engaging, and great physical exercise. It also helps dogs practice manners.
  2. Frisbee – An advanced game of fetch promotes your dog to chase over long distances. It can also be great exercise, and it’s a lot of fun for dogs that have a natural drive to chase.
  3. Agility Fun – Another fun game for dogs is creating your own agility course. This is a fun way to teach your dog some new tricks, and it’s a great source of mental stimulation for dogs.
  4. Food Dispensing Toys – Using a stuffed Kongor some food dispensing toys is one of the easiest games to play with your dog. It’s fun, it encourages them to use some of their natural scavenging ability, and it’s mentally stimulating.
  5. Bubble Chasing – Believe it or not, dogs love to chase bubbles! Blow the bubbles and encourage your dog to chase them. Be sure to catch some yourself to show your dog how it’s done.
  6. Digging Box – Some dogs love digging and having a dedicated digging box for them is a way to encourage them to dig in one approved area — one that doesn’t include your landscaped garden.
  7. Hide & Seek – Hide and seek lets your dog use some of their natural scent tracking abilities in a fun and stimulating way.
