Tuesday’s Treat: Spinach, Carrot, and Zucchini Bites

Welcome to our Tuesday Treat article of the week.  This is where we feature an easy DIY dog recipe that your four-legged friend will love!  Today we are excited to teach you how to make Spinach, Carrot, and Zucchini Bites.  Be sure to share this recipe with your family and friends and let us know how they turned out!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
  • 3 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 carrot (pealed and shredded)
  • 1 zucchini (shredded)
  • 1 cup baby spinach (chopped)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Grab a large mixing bowl!  Beat pumpkin puree, peanut butter, and eggs until well combined.
  3. Add in the oats, flour, carrot, zucchini, and spinach.
  4. Lightly flour a surface and knead the dough 3-4 times until it comes together.  Grab a rolling pin and roll the dough to 1/4 inch thickness.
  5. Use cookie cutters to cut into desired shapes.  Have fun with it!
  6. Place the treats on the lined baking sheet and then transfer to the oven.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Allow the treats to cool.
  9. Your four-legged friend is now ready to ENJOY!!!
