Tuesday’s Treat Frozen Watermelon Bites

Tuesday’s Treat: Frozen Watermelon Bites

Welcome to our Tuesday Treat article of the week. We are excited to share a fun and healthy recipe for your four-legged friend! The “dog days of Summer” quickly approach us, and this recipe is perfect.

Please do us a favor and share the recipe with your friends and family so other dogs can enjoy this tasty treat too. What are you waiting on?

Let’s get started!

Ingredients

2 cups of seedless watermelon, diced

1/2 cup plain yogurt (ensure it is safe for dogs, without artificial sweeteners) one tablespoon of honey (optional) Ice cube tray or silicone mold

Instructions

Puree the diced watermelon in a blender or food processor until smooth.

In a mixing bowl, combine the watermelon puree, plain yogurt, and honey (if using). Stir well to ensure the ingredients are fully incorporated.

Pour the mixture into an ice cube tray or silicone mold. Tap the tray gently on the countertop to remove any air bubbles.

Place the tray in the freezer and let the treats freeze entirely, usually for 2-3 hours or overnight.

Once frozen, remove the treats from the tray and store them in an airtight container or freezer bag.

Serve frozen watermelon treats to your dog on a hot summer day as a refreshing and healthy snack.

Note: Always introduce new treats gradually and monitor your dog while they enjoy their frozen treat. Adjust the ingredients according to your dog’s dietary needs and consult with your veterinarian if you have any concerns or if your dog has specific dietary restrictions.
