Spotlight Breed: Goldendoodle
Our Spotlight Breed of the week is the Goldendoodle! This breed is considered a “designer dog” as it is a mix between the Poodle and the Golden Retriever. With both breeds combined, it is quite the show! Goldendoodles are gaining much more popularity lately and we are excited to tell you why.
Some of the key traits of the Goldendoodle are the fact that they are affectionate, intelligent and adventurous! Good for novice dog parents and experienced canine families alike, this furry friend will be your loving companion. This breed is not suitable for apartment living. In fact, their desire for stimulation requires them to be in a much larger space. Much like other breeds, the Goldendoodle requires daily exercise and mind stimulation.
Goldendoodles are amongst the friendliest crossbreeds! They are affectionate with family, kids and other dogs. They will even give “strangers” a chance! They have a high potential for playfulness so anyone giving them attention is sure to be their best friend. This breed is extremely easy to train as they are very smart. They are not known to have any many issues with aggression, but they do need proper socialization to avoid fearfulness.
