Tuesday’s Treat: Ground Beef Bites 

Welcome to our Tuesday Treat article of the week. This is where we feature a healthy and tasty dog treat recipe for your four-legged friend! Today we are excited to teach you how to make Ground Beef Bites! This recipe will have your dog begging for more. Be sure to share it with your friends and family so that other dogs can enjoy this tasty treat as well!

Ingredients 

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 cup pure pumpkin puree
  • 1 ½ cups oatmeal, cooked
  • 2 cups fresh green beans, rinsed and diced
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cook the ground beef and diced green beans in a large skillet over medium heat until browned.
  3. Add in pumpkin puree to the beef mixture, stirring until mixed.
  4. Grab a bowl. Add your uncooked oats and enough water to moisten them. Heat the oats in the microwave for 45 seconds to cook. Remove the oats from the microwave and stir.
  5. Add oats to the beef mixture and stir well.
  6. Remove the beef, green bean, and oat mixture from the heat and allow to cool.
  7. Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  8. Once the beef mixture has cooled, add in the beaten eggs. The mixture should be slightly wet.
  9. Use cookie cutters to create bite sized treats.
  10. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees. After 25 minutes, turn oven down to 200 degrees and continue to bake for 1 ½ hours.
  11. Allow the dog biscuits to cool.
  12. It is now time for your pup to ENJOY these tasty treats.

Store the treats in an airtight container in your refrigerator until ready to give to your pups.
