Tuesday’s Treat: Salmon Pumpkin Dog Treats
Welcome to our Tuesday Treat article of the week. This is where we feature an easy and healthy treat recipe for your four-legged friend! Today we are excited to teach you how to make Salmon Pumpkin Dog Treats. The best thing about these treats is that they are grain-free! Be sure to share the recipe with your friends and family so that other dogs can enjoy this tasty treat as well.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups coconut flour
- 1 cup canned wild caught salmon (drained)
- ½ cup coconut oil
- ½ cup pumpkin puree
- 4 eggs
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a food processor. Process until well blended. Form into a ball.
- Gently flatten the ball into a disc and place into an airtight container or wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for one hour.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Place the dough between two pieces of parchment paper. Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough until it is about 1/8 to ¼ inch thick.
- Use your favorite cookie cutter to cut the shapes of the treats. Transfer to the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake 18-20 minutes until golden brown and hard.
- Allow the treats to cool.
- It is now time for your pup to ENJOY!!!
*Store the treats in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
