CBD Oil May Help with Dog Training

Cannabidiol (commonly referred to as CBD) is an extraction from the flowers and buds of the marijuana plant.  One thing that everyone should realize is that this does not induce feelings of intoxication since it has significantly low levels of tetrahydrocannabinol (commonly referred to as THC).  Throughout this article we will talk about how CBD oil works, what it can be used for, and information on how to use it with dog training.

CBD works with certain receptors to help with different physical and mental ailments.  There are many uses for CBD oil with dogs.  It can reduce inflammation, help with seizures, reduce depression and anxiety, and aids in promoting a calm behavior.

Disclaimer: There have been no studies which prove that CBD oil may help with dog training.  However, as mentioned before, it can address anxiety, which will help during the training process.  If your dog is anxious, CBD oil will create a calm environment which will help your dog focus more and make them feel more comfortable.  Many studies have shown that dogs respond best to training when they feel safe.  Additionally, a happier dog will most likely yield a well-behaved dog.  That is the main point of CBD oil – to allow your dog to feel more mellow and relaxed during training.

There may be risks involved with CBD oil.  Therefore, it is important for you to speak with your veterinarian before you administer this to your dog.  CBD oil may not work for all dogs, but it is a safe choice to try at the end of the day!
