Tuesday’s Treat: Tuna Fudge
Welcome to our Tuesday Treat article of the week! We are excited to teach you how to make a fun, and healthy treat for your four-legged friend! On the menu, today is Tuna Fudge! You heard that right. Tuna and fudge are generally not two words that you would see together, but you will understand why later! What are you waiting for? Let’s head to the kitchen and get to work! Ingredients
- One six-ounce can of tuna in spring water
- ¾ cup of wheat flour
- One egg
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pour tuna and flour into a mixing bowl (do not drain the tuna).
- Add egg to the mixture.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Pour the batter onto parchment paper and spread out to about ¼ to ½ inch thick.
- Place in the oven. After 10 minutes, turn over the mixture and return to the oven.
- Bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and cool on a raised wire rack.
- When cooled, use a pizza cutter to cut the “fudge.”
- It is time for your dog to ENJOY this tasty treat!
*Freeze the treats or refrigerate them for four days.
