Tuesday’s Treat: Salmon Pumpkin Dog Treats 

Welcome to our Tuesday Treat article of the week. This is where we feature an easy and healthy treat recipe for your four-legged friend! Today we are excited to teach you how to make Salmon Pumpkin Dog Treats. The best thing about these treats is that they are grain-free! Be sure to share the recipe with your friends and family so that other dogs can enjoy this tasty treat as well.

Ingredients 

  • 1 ½ cups coconut flour
  • 1 cup canned wild caught salmon (drained)
  • ½ cup coconut oil
  • ½ cup pumpkin puree
  • 4 eggs

Instructions 

  1. Add all ingredients to a food processor. Process until well blended. Form into a ball.
  2. Gently flatten the ball into a disc and place into an airtight container or wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for one hour.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  4. Place the dough between two pieces of parchment paper. Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough until it is about 1/8 to ¼ inch thick.
  5. Use your favorite cookie cutter to cut the shapes of the treats. Transfer to the prepared baking sheets.
  6. Bake 18-20 minutes until golden brown and hard.
  7. Allow the treats to cool.
  8. It is now time for your pup to ENJOY!!!

*Store the treats in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
