Tuesday’s Treat: Sweet Potato & Salmon Bites
Welcome to our Tuesday Treat article of the week. This is where we feature a healthy and fun recipe for your four-legged friend! Today we are excited to teach you how to make Sweet Potato & Salmon Bites. Be sure to share this recipe with your friends and family so that other dogs can enjoy this tasty treat as well!
Ingredients
- 2 cups canned salmon
- 2 cups mashed sweet potatoes
- 1 ½ cup whole wheat flour
- ½ tsp. baking powder
- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Open canned salmon and drain in sink. Use a form to finely mash the fish and break up any chunks of bone.
- In a large bowl, stir together salmon and sweet potato. Add egg, parsley, and baking powder. Stir well.
- Sift in the whole wheat flour, a little at a time, stirring frequently.
- Use your hands to roll dough into balls or shapes. Arrange them on a baking sheet and press them down with your thumb.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.
- Allow the treats to cool completely.
- It is now time for your pup to ENJOY this tasty treat!
