Spotlight Breed: Frengle 

Welcome to our Spotlight Breed article of the week. We are excited to teach you about a fun and unique dog breed from around the globe. Today, our spotlight breed is the Frengle, a mixed dog breed – a cross between the French Bulldog and Beagle. If we had to sum up the Frengle in three words, we would choose even-tempered, loving, and charismatic. However, there is much more to learn about this breed, so please continue reading!

One of the biggest strengths of the Frengle is their high level of adaptability. They are well-suited for small homes and large homes. It doesn’t matter how ample the space is as long as they get the mental and physical stimulation they need daily! They are sensitive dogs and take a lot to heart. The Frengle loves attention and does not tolerate being alone for long periods. If you are a person who is away from home for long periods, this breed may not be for you.

The Frengle is one of the friendliest dogs out there. They are highly affectionate with family. Forming solid bonds is important to them. They are also great around children and other dogs. However, there may be some struggles with interactions with strangers. The Frengle may be timid and nervous around new people. Therefore, basic obedience and socialization training would be beneficial for the breed.

Training is so-so with the Frengle. They are a very intelligent breed and have no problem forming an association between a prompt, action, and consequence. You may need to be extra patient and practice several times before they fully understand the task. Positive reinforcement will help you along the way.

The breed is always ready to play and have a good time! We recommend you come up with fun games to play with your Frengle. Think outside the box! Build an outdoor obstacle course and help your four-legged friend navigate to the end to get a treat. The Frengle comes with much energy, so you will constantly be on your toes!
