Tuesday’s Treat: Chicken, Cheddar, and Brown Rice Dog Bites 

Welcome to our Tuesday Treat article of the week. This is where we feature a fun and healthy treat recipe for your four-legged friend! We are excited to teach you how to make Chicken, Cheddar, and Brown Rice Dog Bites today. Be sure to share the recipe with your friends and family so that other dogs can enjoy this tasty treat as well!

Ingredients 

  • 1 small chicken breast (boiled and cut into bites)
  • ½ cup cooked brown rice
  • 1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 egg (beaten)

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook the chicken breast in boiling water until cooked all the way through. Cut into pieces and set aside to cool.
  3. Combine brown rice, cheddar cheese, and cooled chicken in a food processor.
  4. Place the flour in a large bowl and add the chicken broth and whisked egg. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Add the chicken mixture and mix until well combined.
  6. Dust the counter with flour and roll out the dough to approximately 1/4” thickness. Use your favorite doggie cookie cutter to cut out the treats.
  7. Place the treats on a prepared baking sheet an inch apart. Place into the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Allow the treats to cool completely.
  9. It is now time for your pup to ENJOY these tasty treats!

*You can store the treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1-2 weeks.
