The Chinese Crested has a rich history. These dogs have been found in many parts of the world. However, it is unlikely that the origins of the modern Chinese Crested dog are in China. It is thought that the breed originated in Africa or Mexico. Spanish explorers found Chinese Crested dogs in Mexico and other Central and South American parts in the early 1500s.

It is easy to live with a Chinese Crested dog. They are lively and loving and love to form bonds with their “pack.” There are two breed varieties: the “hairless” and the “powderpuff.” The hairless variety is completely hairless, except for its feet, head, and tail. The powderpuff has a long and soft coat. The major kennel clubs equally recognize both varieties.

The Chinese Crested has a charming personality. They are affectionate with children and get along well with other dogs and strangers. The breed can perform tricks as well. Due to their high intelligence level, they can be easy to train. They are good at forming an association between a prompt, an action, and a consequence very quickly.
