Spotlight Breed Bernedoodle

Spotlight Breed: Bernedoodle

Welcome to our Spotlight Breed article of the week.  This is where we feature one of the most interesting dog breeds of the world.  Today we are excited to spotlight the Bernedoodle!  This breed is clever, goofy, and loyal.  However, there are many more features to note.  Please read on to learn more about the Bernedoodle.

This breed may also be known as the Bernese Mountain Poo.  Bernedoodles are some of the most loving companions for active owners and families with children.  They have an all-around friendliness which is out of this world!  They are affectionate with family and children.  They also socialize well with other dogs and strangers.  They can form a close bond with their “pack” which makes them so much more loving.  With this said, the Bernedoodle does not normally like to be alone.  They may be prone to separation anxiety or panic if they are left alone by their owner.

The trainability of the breed is easy.  They can form an association between a prompt, an action, and a consequence very quickly.  Given the fact that the Bernedoodle is very intelligent, it is important that they receive mental stimulation exercises accordingly so that they can continue to strengthen their mental sharpness.  As always, mental stimulation is just as important as physical exercise.  Think about obedience training and interactive dog toys to give your Bernedoodle a great mental workout!

The Bernedoodle is great for those people who are wanting a dog with a potential for playfulness, has a lot of love to give, and is very intelligent!  We will leave you with our favorite quote about the breed: “I’m not single.  I have a Bernedoodle!”
