Pawsitively Delicious: Homemade Dog Brownies Recipe

Who says humans should have all the fun when it comes to brownies?
Treat your furry friend to a delightful homemade dog-friendly brownie
recipe that’s sure to have their tails wagging with joy. Made with
wholesome ingredients and bursting with canine-approved flavors, these
brownies are the perfect way to show your dog some love.

Ingredients:

·         1 ripe banana, mashed

·         1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce

·         1/4 cup peanut butter (make sure it’s xylitol-free, as
xylitol can be toxic to dogs)

·         1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

·         1 egg

·         1 cup whole wheat flour

·         1/4 cup rolled oats

·         1/4 cup carob chips (a dog-safe alternative to chocolate)

Instructions:

1.       Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a small baking
dish with a little bit of coconut oil or non-stick spray.

2.       In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed banana,
unsweetened applesauce, peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, and egg.
Mix well until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

3.       Gradually add the whole wheat flour and rolled oats to the
wet ingredients, stirring until a thick batter forms. Fold in the
carob chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

4.       Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and spread it
out evenly with a spatula.

5.       Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the
brownies are golden brown and firm to the touch.

6.       Allow the brownies to cool completely in the baking dish
before slicing them into small squares or bone-shaped treats for your
dog to enjoy.

Storage:

Store any leftover brownies in an airtight container in the
refrigerator for up to one week. You can also freeze the brownies for
longer storage; simply wrap them individually in plastic wrap or
aluminum foil and place them in a freezer-safe bag or container. Thaw
frozen brownies in the refrigerator overnight before serving them to
your pup.

Note:

While these homemade dog brownies are made with dog-friendly
ingredients, it’s essential to feed them to your furry friend in
moderation as an occasional treat. Remember to consider your dog’s
dietary restrictions and consult with your veterinarian if you have
any concerns about specific ingredients or portion sizes. Enjoy baking
up a batch of these delicious treats for your pup and watch as they
devour them with delight!
