Seven (7) Tips on How to Keep your House Clean with a Dog!
Let’s face it. Dogs are just like children. From toys being all over the place to dirty paw-prints and fur on the floor, dog owners most certainly have their work cut out for them! However, we’d like to offer some tips on how you can maintain a clean home with your pet.
- Try using an automatic vacuum. This is a true time-saver as it can pick up dirt, debris and pet hair while you are working on other tasks.
- Stain remover will be your best friend. Be sure to have a cleaner available which can tackle stains and odors. Even the most well-behaved and trained dog has an accident from time to time.
- Use a lint roller. This is perfect for getting dog hair and debris off of furniture.
- Muddy paws? Have an old towel at the entrance. Try and wipe away all mud and debris before your dog tracks it everywhere in the house.
- Cover up your furniture. You can utilize waterproof mattresses and slip covers for your couch for added protection.
- Use a food and water tray. Dogs like to dig through food and splash water which can cause quite the mess! If you put a tray underneath the bowls, it will help prevent spills.
- An air-purifier may be an investment. Of course we want our homes to smell great. Consider investing in an air-purifier to attack dust, pet dander, allergies and smells.
